Expansion module for MPI

Connects your EXTER terminal to an MPI network

This EM-MPI module facilitates communication between your EXTER operator terminal and an MPI network. The module is compact and easy to mount on the rear of your EXTER terminal. The EM-MPI module supports the MPI protocol and features a D-Sub 9-pin connector.

• You can connect to the PLC via a standard Profibus cable.
• The module supports a baud rate up to 12 Mbit.

Configurations and settings, for example of driver and bus addresses, are quickly enabled through your Information Designer configuration software. In addition, the driver has an import module to import tags utilized in the PLC programming tool.

The EM-MPI module is supported by the EXTER K30 to EXTER T150 range of operator terminals.
