Crystal clear graphics with WPF objects

iX supports WPF objects and furnishes you with vector-based graphics enabling you to scale, and rotate objects and still maintain crystal clear graphics without the jagged edges or inconsistent color transitions of bitmap images. WPF objects offer more advantages over conventional bitmap graphics. A wider color range is possible and more importantly, the WPF graphics system is designed to take advantage of the graphics hardware to minimize CPU usage.

 

Graphical effects

New graphical effects offer an enhanced design experience that will improve all your operations and impart a top-of-the-line look and feel.

You can add drop shadow, bevels and choose opacity with all objects supported in addition to rounded rectangle graphic effects in your development phase for the perfect up-to-date look and feel in your operations that will set your applications apart.

 

Windows media objects

iX supports Windows media objects, opening up a new way of making powerful HMI solutions by incorporating other media. Internet Explorer allows your HMI applications to access and be accessed via the Internet. Windows Media Player allows service material to be accessed with the visual potential of instructional media. PDF viewer in iX allows PDF files to be accessed directly via the HMI operator panel.

Dynamics

Applying dynamics in your HMI applications, you can easily draw the attention of an operator to interact with an ongoing process or supervisory staff. Dynamics enables you to directing the properties of objects and linking them to defined data values. Change and enlarge images, enjoying control of properties such as position, size, color and visibility of HMI objects. 

 

Drawing objects

iX includes drawing functionality so that static shapes such as line, rectangle and poly line can be used to draw background graphics. Data values may even be linked to shapes via the dynamics function, allowing them to change various factors in the object's appearance such as color and position, etc.

iX offers the use of dynamic objects to create control and monitoring functions in a graphically expressive format. iX enables you to add powerful graphics to your projects with dynamic objects such as:

The navigation controls of iX offer attractive and up-to-date control with thumbnails and scrollable rolling, multi-touch feel as well as horizontal, vertical and auto adjust. The navigation controls are easy to configure, saving you valuable time with efficient ready-made navigation controls for your applications.

Pop-up screens

Pop-up screens afford your applications with a familiar Windows feel. Pop-up screens offer a multi-window environment with several screens being able to be active in the same window, increasing the amount of information available to the operator while enhancing the experience of runtime effectiveness. Pop-up screens can be moved about by simply dragging the window title bar, and can be opened or closed as you please during runtime.

Screen carousel

The screen carousel affords runtime screen navigation with 3D, rotation, auto-rotate and more, giving you an up-to-date look and feel for your application.

An almost unlimited range of button designs

The button style function allows customization of button shapes with individual adjustment of corner radius of the buttons featured in iX. Using the button style function in combination with other graphic effects provide an almost unlimited range of user defined button designs.

 

Compact styles

Styles are predefined graphical preferences in objects and help you create a uniform graphical standard in your applications. Styles advance your brand consistency and allow you to tailor the look of your application using one of the predefined styles. The new compact styles are mainly used in low resolution displays, to provide clear and readable data.
